Star of the Sea is my Falconn daughter. When I bred to Falconn first in 2003 (for Starspangled Glory, which I sold) and again in 2004 (for Star of the Sea) he had not been used for breeding for some years. I am glad I used this excellent old horse; I believe I may have bred his last two daughters, which are probably his last two foals.

Star of the Sea has a beautiful head, a long, light, and clean neck of good shape, and an over all very lovely forehand. She has a fine, ground covering trot and she absolutely loves to run, sometimes running with her powerful, ground-eating run in the pasture, playing by herself when her companions would rather browse or nap - or just watch her. She is one of my biggest mares, but is at the same time feminine. Her mane is rather wavy like that of her dam and has a distinct silver cast to it which is quite attractive.

Star of the Sea has an incredibly good temperament. She is the kind of Arabian which watches out over her people - seeing situations and on her own, from her own thinking, moving to be protective - or even standing stock still to be an anchor, if that is what is needed. She is certainly an endearing mare. Her 2nd dam had this same special temperament quality; it is interesting to see how it has been passed down.

For many of the reasons mentioned above, Star of the Sea is sometimes a favorite of people who come to see my horses.
