Jons Stardust is the only double granddaughter of Night Dragon; she is the result of the only time Janice Siders bred a Night Dragon son to a Night Dragon daughter.

In 1981 Janice Siders saw the then yearling filly Flashy Pants, 3rd dam of Jons Stardust. Flashy Pants was beautifully bred and arresting with her special style, trot, and overall merit. Mrs. Siders bought her. Meanwhile, she heard about the stallion Drifter, of the Farana topline, and went to see him at his home in the California Sierra Nevada foothills. After seeing him she knew she had to use this stallion in her breeding program, so took Flashy Pants to him. The result was Sea Crown. Mrs. Siders then bred her to Night Dragon and got Shimmering Sea. Mrs. Siders sold Sea Crown. In time Shimmering Sea died, leaving Mrs. Siders with Jons Stardust and her 2005 daughter, Star of the Sea; the latter is what Diablo Vista Arabians now has in its herd from Drifter, since in 2008 Gisele Roman became owner of Jons Stardust. For Ms. Roman, Jons Stardust had a beautiful 2008 gray filly by Purple Sage; the filly has been named Azs Call Me Madam, and Gisele Roman has since purchased Purple Sage as well.

Jons Stardust is a very feminine mare of almost poetic correctness of conformation and balance, and she has the splendid trot of Night Dragon and her sire, The Night Star, as well as inheriting this trot from other parts of her pedigree. Jons Stardust has a lovely Arabian head, very dry and chiseled, with the large, fine and well-placed nostrils like Night Dragon. Her neck is light and clean, with a beautiful natural arch and clean throat. Jons Stardust has just about the sweetest temperament one could ever find in a horse.
