Starspangled Glory is my youngest daughter of my former mare, Sun and Snow. She is a bay with a light, almost whitish, section in her mane near her withers (perhaps a legacy from her roan dam). She has good conformation and legs, and a good trot.

In 2003 I saw the then 20 year old stallion Falconn, a son of Sx Saladin, considered by many to have been one of the best sons of Crabbet-bred *Serafix. Sx Saladin’s dam was the great broodmare Cobah, a daughter of Pomona Ahmen and a granddaughter of the great Farana. Falconn’s dam, Grande Duchess, was a daughter of Raffon, whose blood I like, and of the very beautiful mare El Nigmah, sired by the outstanding El Sirocco whose blood is more rare than it should be. I also liked the fact that El Nigmah was a granddaughter of the outstanding and good trotting Risab. I liked Falconn very much. He was correct, typy, and had excellent legs with outstanding bone and joints, and good feet. He also carried a lovely, straight (not wry) fountain tail and had a very good trot.

I took my mare Sun and Snow to Falconn and Starspangled Glory is the result.
