I attended an all-Arabian show where there was a silent stallion service auction, proceeds to benefit the University of California Davis Veterinary School. I bought the service being offered for *Rushan Ahsb. I bred my mare Indian Pepper (daughter of Rabba Baron, and mare since sold to Angela Lewis) to him. The result is my beautiful, brilliant moving 2004 mare Red Hott Pepper.

In England, before his importation at age 2, *Rushan Ahsb had won a major halter championship for his age group. He has won in American shows since his importation. More important to me, however, is that he is a beautiful horse with an interesting pedigree combining Crabbet and other English blood with Egyptian lines and there is also a touch of Spanish. His sire, El Saleem, was a double grandson of *El Shaklan, a horse with an international reputation. I thought that both *Rushan Ahsb’s quality as an individual and his outcross pedigree would enhance my breeding program, and so it has.
